  • The official dinner will allow IFMI participants to network between themselves.

  • Day 2

    November 7, 2019

  • The Fleet Europe village is the heart of the fleet Europe summit where delegates meet and interact with suppliers and fellow fleet and mobility professionals.

  • “How Electrification, Smart Mobility and Artificial Intelligence add value to your Fleet Programme”

  • Not only corporates are responding to the changing mobility behaviour of their people in line with overall objectives; cities are doing the same and some in such a way that they earn the moniker Smart City. Lisbon is one of them: the Portuguese capital has clear objectives to increase mobility efficiency and air quality while reducing pollution and traffic jams, hence optimising quality of life and city productivity – not unlike the ambitions of a company.

  • Traffic jams, city bans and mobility regulations have led to the increasing popularity of micromobility. Indeed, e-scooters, e-bikes and other smaller mobility modes are now used by commuters to ensure their last-mile mobility in many cities. But questions abound about the business model and more fundamentally of the safety aspect of these micromobility solutions. Can Micromobility and Safety form a perfect match?

  • Experts have been predicting for years that MaaS and shared mobility will push the current one-driver-one-car model aside. Until today the switch hasn’t been made but looking at the results of the 2019 Global Fleet Survey, international fleet managers indeed are considering the transformation from Fleet to Mobility, and are open to implementing solutions like carsharing. This solution is also becoming more important on the supplier side, as two major automotive rivals, Daimler and BMW Group, have merged their mobility offering under the Now umbrella, with Share Now as one of the five mobility pillars.

  • Every well-respected company wants the best for its employees and needs to support them to balance their professional and personal lives. Within this context mobility is a hard nut to crack. Not everyone needs or indeed wants the same solution. More and more employees want to have instant access to a variety of mobility modes, to be able to use the one that fits them best in each situation. Mobility as a Service or MaaS may well be the answer, but how do you make it work on a larger or more international scale?

  • Until recently, diesel was the preferred fuel for most European fleets. However, technological developments, changes to legislation and social pressure have not been without consequence. A growing market share for electric vehicles is not unlikely knowing that employees are increasingly asking for electric cars and that carmakers are speeding up the launch of new EVs, supported by charging services and solutions to capitalise on the electric revolution.

  • Autonomous technology will drive mobility forward, make it safer, more efficient, more relaxed, more sustainable, more productive. Gains all round, so what are we waiting for and when can we really benefit from the self-driving ecosystem?

  • Artificial Intelligence or AI is more than a game. It’s the ability for a computer to learn and think, hence to make predictions. Leveraging AI is key when the amount of data is big and the need for analysis important, which is the case with CASE: the Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric mobility future. Through AI processes will get smarter, fleets more cost-effective and mobility cheaper and safer.

  • Suppliers will present their new product offering and what they propose to cope with the ever-changing world of fleet and mobility.

  • This Awards Ceremony will be dedicated to innovative ideas developped by both Start-ups and innovation companies
